All-on-4 Dental Implants

A full arch of fixed teeth on four implants. Planned in 3D, placed with a surgical guide, and made in our own lab in Hauppauge, Long Island.

What it is

All-on-4 replaces every tooth in an arch with one fixed bridge supported by four implants. The two back implants are tilted to make the most of the bone you already have, which often avoids the need for bone grafting. The teeth do not come out at night and do not rest on your gums.

Who it helps

  • Most of the teeth in an arch are failing or already gone
  • A denture slips, rubs, or keeps you from eating what you want
  • You have been told you need extensive grafting for individual implants
  • You want fixed teeth in as few surgical visits as possible

What to expect

It starts with a consultation and a 3D CBCT scan. We design your new smile first, then plan the implants to support it. On surgery day the implants go in through a custom guide and, in most cases, you leave with a fixed provisional arch. The final arch is made in our lab after the implants have healed.

Questions

Common questions.

Is All-on-4 the same as All-on-X?

All-on-4 is one version of the same idea. All-on-X is the general term for a fixed full arch on however many implants your bone and bite call for, which is usually four to six.

How long do All-on-4 implants last?

The implants themselves are designed to last for decades with good hygiene and regular maintenance visits. The prosthetic teeth on top may need repair or replacement over time, depending on the material and how heavily you bite.
